1. DESCRIPTION

a. Hello, welcome to the Engineering Project Management Workshop to be held from September 25 to October 27.

b. The Workshop will develop the individual and collective competencies of an effective engineering project management team, exploring the skills of each professional, in order to provide a greater exchange of experiences.

c. The Engineering Project Management Workshop will seek to promote an understanding of project management standards, methods, processes and practices, exploring the main related concepts and the most modern metrics in use in the world. For this, it will use the established methodology of the Project Management Institute - PMI, through the Knowledge Guide in Project Management - PMBOK. All activities will have a theoretical basis, guided by compulsory readings and classroom exposure, and practical applications, developed through case studies and group work.

 

2. OBJECTIVES

a. Understand the differences between projects and processes, describe their main characteristics, differentiate between the various organizational structures involved and their respective levels of authority.

b. Understand the lifecycle of an Engineering project, defining the main aspects of each phase. Know the process groups of a project and the interrelationship between them.

c. Develop the initiation of a project, applying the various techniques and tools available, as well as the respective groups of processes.

d. Develop a project plan, applying the various techniques and tools available, as well as the respective groups of processes.

e. Apply the various techniques and tools available to execute a project, exploring the process groups established by the PMBOK.

f. Apply the various techniques and tools available to control a project, exploring the process groups established by the PMBOK.

g. Close a project using the various techniques and tools available and explore the process groups established by the PMBOK.
